HP Spectre - 13-af003na - network adaptor not working

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I can't access the internet anymore, which means I can't do anything with my laptop as the network adaptor has stopped working. I tried reinstalling Windows 10 and resetting the PC but the problem still exists. Because the Spectre has the new USB 3.1 Type-C™ Gen 1 USB port, I am unable to transfer data from my PC as it has the old type USB port. If I purchase a recovery media will it fit the HP Spectre port?
