HP Stream 11 bluetooth does not recognize devices (windows 8.1 x64)

HP Recommended
HP Stream 11-d000 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I just did a clean install of windows 8.1 x64 after acquirring this notebook from someone.

Before I did the clean install, Bluetooth worked.

Now I turn bluetooth ON, but it does not detect anything. I have tried this with multiple devices. so i know the hardwork works, and i know my devices work, so it must be a software issue of some kind.

HP Support Assistant says there are no driver updates to install.

WiFI is turned on.

"Allow bluetooth devices to find this PC" is turned on.

"performance" option in device manager for WiFi card is selected, rather than "wifi" option.

Airplane mode is OFF.

I cannot find any other option that I should change, I followed HP's bluetooth tutorial and also looked around online for other suggestions.

Thank you!

Hi

Try

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-stream-11-d000-notebook-pc/7372144

and do a manual download of all the bluetooth drivers and install locally.

Broadcom Bluetooth Driver

Realtek RTL8723BE Bluetooth Driver

Intel Bluetooth Driver (Windows 10)

If in doubt please ask.

Thank you for the reply. I am using Windows 8.1 x64 so I just want to verify that there are only 2 bluetooth related drivers for this version of Windows. These are the only ones I see.

Broadcom Bluetooth Driver

Realtek RTL8723BE Bluetooth Driver

Please let me know if I am missing any.

This had Windows 8.1 x64 on it

I downloaded all 6 drivers under Networking and am going to uninstall and reinstall them to see if that works.
