What happened to your wireless/ Did you inadvertently uninstall the driver or has it never worked?

Your notebook could have any of the devices in the following image delivered with it. 6730s.png

Have you gone to the Device Manager to see what is shown in the networking devices section?

Is there a  network device  listed with a yelow exclamation point next to it?

Have you tried installing the HP Support Assistant and using its system information abilities to see what is installed in your notebook? HP Support Assistant can also find drivers for your device.

The web support portal for your notebook.

Kind regards,
erico

OK. I will post an image of the device manager showing what you need to post so I can find out which wireless adapter is physically installed in your notebook. In the device managerclick on the triangle next to network adapters to expand it, select the network adapter that needs a driver and right-click it and select properties. Select the tab as shown in the following image and post a screen shot using the snipping tool just like the image.

Once I have the PCI/VEN information  the rest is simple.

The device manager image that you posted shows that the operating system is not recognizing your wireless module. Is your notebook still inwarranty? Your wireless module may have failed.

Hi, we resolved the problem by installing HP Wireless Assistant which is available only in the section of drivers for Vista but is working fine at Windows 7.
