Hi @MissMalisa,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Here are some steps to troubleshoot why your HP laptops are not recognizing your new TDS wireless internet connection.

Check Wi-Fi Settings:

  • Make sure Wi-Fi is turned on. You can usually toggle this on/off using a function key (often F12) or through the settings menu.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart your laptop and the router/modem. This can often resolve connectivity issues.

Update Wi-Fi Drivers:

  • Go to Device Manager (Right-click on Start > Device Manager), find your network adapter under Network adapters, right-click on it, and choose Update driver.

Forget and Reconnect:

  • Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi, click on Manage known networks, select the network you're having trouble with, and choose Forget. Then, try reconnecting.

Check Network Availability:

  • Ensure that the Wi-Fi network is broadcasting and not hidden. You can check this in your router settings.

Network Troubleshooter:

  • Run the built-in Windows network troubleshooter. Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters > Internet Connections.

Router Configuration:

  • Log in to your router’s web interface and check if there are any specific settings that might be blocking new connections.

Check for Interference:

  • Ensure there are no significant sources of interference or obstructions between your router and the laptops.

Check for MAC Address Filtering:

  • Some routers have MAC address filtering enabled which might block new devices. Check your router settings to see if this is the case.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
