HP stream 13 all of a sudden asking me to insert SIM card

HP Recommended
HP stream 13
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I've had my HP stream for about 15 months. I've never until now received a message telling me to insert a SIM card.

This has been occurring for a couple of days whenever I try to switch to broadband on. In the past, sometimes I would connect and sometimes no signal could be found. But now, when I switch Broadband on all it shows is insert SIM card.

Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks!

heyroll,

Which service provider are you using? First thing I would try is removing the power cable, holding the power button down for 15 seconds, reconnnecting the power adapter and restarting.  This should force the computer to redetect any SIM card in the slot.
