Good morning to everyone on the forum,

I come to ask for your help, I have an HP15s-eo2084np, and I'm having a very strange problem, when I turn off the laptop and turn it back on, the wireless stops working, the card is not detected in the device manager but the bluetooth works, if I restart the pc 1 or 2 times the card is recognized again and the wireless networks appear, can you give me some help on what it could be please

@xp54, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Check Device Manager Hidden Devices

Even if the Wi-Fi disappears after shutdown/startup:

Open Device Manager

Click View > Show hidden devices

Look under Network adapters — see if the Wi-Fi card shows as grayed out or with an error (code 10, 43, etc.)

Let me know what it says if it's there.

Power Management Settings

In Device Manager, right-click your Wi-Fi card (when it’s working)

Go to Properties > Power Management

Uncheck “Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power”

Also:

Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Change plan settings

Click Change advanced power settings

Under Wireless Adapter Settings, make sure it's set to Maximum Performance for both battery and plugged in.

Driver Issues

Sometimes the drivers aren't initializing correctly unless the system is restarted.

Go to HP’s site and download the latest Wi-Fi drivers for your exact model

OR use Support Assistant.

You could also try rolling back the driver if the issue started after an update

BIOS/UEFI Settings and Update

Sometimes a BIOS setting or an outdated BIOS can cause issues like this.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
