Hi

 

My HP 15s-eq0132au laptop has Realtek RTL8723DE 802.11b/g/n PCIe Adapter, its not able to identify/search 5GHz router wifi connection. Please help

Hi:

 

The model Wi-Fi card your notebook comes with only works on the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band.

 

RTL8723DE - REALTEK

 

You can either purchase a dual band USB Wi-Fi adapter and use that to connect to a 5.0 GHz Wi-Fi network, or replace the internal Realtek RTL8723DE Wi-Fi card with this model:

 

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11ac 1 × 1 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth 4.2     HP part # L17365-005

 

Below is the link to the service manual where you can find the Wi-Fi card removal and replacement procedure.
