Hello good day

I read other day that my Laptop could not recognize 5G with this wireless adapter (Realtek RTL8723DE 802.11b/g/n PCIe Adapter) !

Is this true ?

Is there any solution to solve the problem ?

Thank you and Regards

Hi:

Yes, you can replace the card with this one...

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.

You can buy one new from the HP parts store...14.03 Euros

or on eBay...

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook, where you can find the wifi card removal and replacement procedure.

http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05493257

The card will have the same throughput as the RTL8723 on the 2.4 GHz wifi band, but on the 5.0 GHz band it will have a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS with an AC router.

Here are the latest drivers for the card.  You can install them now, as they are also good for the wifi adapter currently installed.

So far I have installed the two service pack, one for wifi adapter and the other for bluetooth and they are working alright.

Regarding the solution of another Realtek adapter I am going to think about.

Thank you for your answers
