I have a new laptop and I am trying to set up my wireless printer 

it is asking for a security key. Where do I get security key to set this up.

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you.

 

Are you trying to connect the printer to your wireless network?

If yes, then use the password for your wireless network. To know how to find the wireless password, refer to this document.

 

If you could not find your wireless network password, you may use the WPS method to connect the printer to the network.

Refer to this document to know how.

 

If you do not have access to a wireless router, you may connect the computer and the printer via wifi-direct.

The default password is 12345678. For more info, refer to this document. 

Note: there will be no Internet connection on the computer while using wifi-direct.
