Hp Envy 4520 unable to connect to AirPrint.

iOS

When using an IOS device the printer either won’t show up under AirPrint or if it does won’t be able to print until it is restarted each time.  As a small business we use multiple IOS devices to print and it is very inconvenient to restart the printer for each use.  It has no problem scanning using a mobile device, it’s just the AirPrint that’s a problem.

Hi @Liquid_Lee,

Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips.

Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out.

I understand that you are unable to use the AirPrint feature for your HP ENVY 4520 All-in-One Printer and you need to keep restarting the device.

This issue may occur if you have updated to IOS 11.

I suggest you run the apple updates on your IOS device and check if the issue persists.

You may check the link: Update the iOS on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod

You have a good day ahead.

Hi @Liquid_Lee,

Thank you for your reply, I'll be more than glad to help you.

I understand that the issue still persists after updating the Apple updates.

I suggest that you turn off your IOS device and then force restart it.

You may also download and install the HP smart app from the link: Print and Scan from the HP Smart App

Let me know if this works.

You have a good day ahead.

We’ve done both, but it doesn’t help in keeping it consistently on. It wouldn’t matter but we are a business and it isn’t good to have to keep turning everything off and on.
