Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

I am using HP 15 Notebook PC which was bought about 6 years back.

The issue i'm facing is that i'm not able to connect to wifi network when i'm far from my router, but able to connect when i'm near it(like when i'm within 3 metre from the router)   . I have been facing this issue for almost years. I tried HP support assistant troubleshooting but it didn't work.

So could you please assist me regarding this.

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

Do you mean you are unable to connect to the Wireless Router when you are more than 3 Meters away from it?

Do you have other devices that experience the same problem with the Router?

This could be a setting issue in the Router. you could try changing the Channel settings in the Router Page

I suggest you go through this HP Document: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c06282875 and perform the troubleshooting steps

Keep me posted

Have you updated all the drivers and BIOS using the HP Support Assistant?

I suggest you perform a Reset and then try connecting once again
