Hi @Mara20,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I'd be happy to help you install the printer Jet Office 5252. Printer installation can vary depending on the operating system you are using (Windows, macOS, or Linux). Below are some general steps that should help guide you through the process.

Unbox the Printer: Remove all packaging materials and protective tapes from the printer.

Connect the Printer: Plug the power cord into the printer and connect it to an electrical outlet. Turn on the printer and let it initialize.

Connect to a Computer: Depending on the type of connection your printer supports (USB, Ethernet, or wireless), choose the appropriate method to connect it to your computer.

  • USB Connection: If you're using a USB cable, connect one end to the printer and the other end to your computer. Windows and macOS should automatically detect the printer.
  • Ethernet Connection: For wired Ethernet, connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the printer and the other end to your router or network switch. The printer should be detected on the network.
  • Wireless Connection: For a wireless connection, navigate to the printer's control panel, find the "Wireless" or "Network" settings, and connect it to your Wi-Fi network. Ensure your computer is connected to the same network.

Driver Installation:

  • Windows: If you are using Windows, the operating system should automatically search for and install the necessary drivers for the printer. In case it doesn't, you can visit the official website of the printer's manufacturer to download the latest drivers for your printer model.
  • macOS: macOS should also detect the printer automatically and install the required drivers. If not, you can visit the manufacturer's website to download the drivers.
  • Linux: For Linux users, most modern distributions come with built-in printer support. If your printer is not automatically detected, check the manufacturer's website for Linux drivers.

Test Print: Once the drivers are installed, perform a test print to ensure everything is set up correctly.

Install Software (Optional): Some printers come with additional software that provides extra features like scanning, print management, or troubleshooting tools. You can choose to install these applications if desired.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
