Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello everyone, I have a problem.

I have 2 networks in my house, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz but 5 GHz is twice faster than the other. I can't see the faster one on my laptop, I can only see 2.4 GHz.

I wanted to download drivers but HP website keeps refusing my product number so I can't.

My Serial Number: [edit]

My Product Number: 7NF71EA#AB8

Thanks for reading.

Hi:

The specs for your notebook indicate that it comes with the Realtek 8723DE single band wifi adapter.

https://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/GetPDF.aspx/c06377041.pdf

You can either purchase an external USB dual band wifi adapter, or replace the internal Realtek card with this one...

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.

The only place I have been able to find this model is on eBay.

https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=L17365-005&_sacat=0&_sop=15

The card has the same throughput as the RTL8723DE on the 2.4 GHz wifi band, but on the 5.0 GHz wifi band with an AC router, it has a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS.

On a dual band wireless N router, it would have a maximum throughput of 150 MBPS on the 5.0 GHz wifi band.
