I can see all other wireless networks but not our own wifi network on the laptop.

Hi

Is the Wi-Fi SSID being broadcast?

 

Get the ID of your network SSID (Service Set Identifier) & know what type of encryption is used. WEP is weak & best avoided (only enable to prove connectivity, then disable & use WPA2). WPA2 / WPA-PSK (pre-shared key) with a long/strong password to go with the choice of encryption. As it can be cAsE sensitive, it's another area for no connectivity. Check AEROPLANE mode is OFF.
