Hi @Niguskey,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Chromebook 11 isn’t connecting to Wi-Fi despite trying initial troubleshooting steps, here are some additional things you can try.

Restart Devices: Restart your Chromebook, router, and modem. This can often resolve temporary connectivity issues.

Forget and Reconnect: Go to the Wi-Fi settings on your Chromebook, click on the network you're trying to connect to, and select "Forget." Then, try reconnecting by selecting the network and entering the password again.

Check Network Settings:

  • Ensure your Wi-Fi network is visible and not hidden.
  • Make sure you're entering the correct password for the network.
  • Check if your Chromebook is within range of your Wi-Fi router.

Update Chromebook: Ensure your Chromebook is running the latest version of Chrome OS. Go to Settings > About Chrome OS > Check for Updates.

Check Date and Time Settings: Incorrect date and time settings can sometimes cause connectivity issues. Go to Settings > Advanced > Date and Time and ensure they are set correctly.

Powerwash: Performing a Powerwash (factory reset) might help if the issue persists. Note that this will erase all local data on your Chromebook, so make sure to back up any important files before proceeding.

  • Go to Settings > Advanced > Reset settings > Powerwash and follow the instructions.

Check Router Settings: Sometimes, issues might be related to your router settings. Ensure your router is not blocking your Chromebook's MAC address or any other security settings that might prevent connectivity.

Try a Different Network: If possible, try connecting to a different Wi-Fi network to determine if the issue is with your Chromebook or the network.

Network Troubleshooter: Although Chromebooks don’t have a built-in network troubleshooter, sometimes accessing the Chrome network diagnostics (via Chrome browser) can offer insights.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
