I bought my old HP Pavilion G6 a couple years ago, and started slowing down after a while. I did a full factory reset, backed up only the most important files. After I did the reset, I was trying to connect to the Wifi, but it didn't work. The wireless button is still lit, it says in connections it's turned on, but it says no connection available. I thought it was a glitch, did another reset, nothing happened. I checked, and apparently, I will need an Ethernet cable plugged into the pc and the router, and then it should work. I just recently threw the ethernet cables away, and we have none, and do not wish to buy a new one. Anyone has any ideas to fix the problem, that does not involve an ethernet cable? Currently, as a temporary option, I use USB tethering from my mobile, but I wish to reconnect to the wifi again, without being bound to my usb. Thanks for the help in advance!
