I bought a HP Stream model 13-c110nr less than a year ago. I did a recovery install of Win7 to resolve a few difficulties I was having and now my wifi antenna will not pick up more than a few feet away. After completing the win 7 recovery, it did an auto update to win10 home. I think I need to reinstall a driver. Can you help with a proper driver. Thanks for a speedy answer my daughter needs this for homework.

Hi:
Unfortunately, I don't know how to troubleshoot that issue.
All I know are the steps to turn on Windows Defender...
Turn Windows Defender real-time protection on or off
- Select the Start button, then select Settings > Update & Security.
- Select Windows Defender, then turn Real-time protection on or off.

I figured it out , from another forum. Just to let you know what the answer was here is what I found
The reason why you are having issues with the Windows defender is because, If you have another Anti-virus program installed on the PC, then Windows defender automatically gets disabled. The only scenario, where it would work is if you uninstall the third party anti virus program from your PC.
If you are having issues even after uninstalling the third party anti - virus program. I would suggest here is to download and install HP support assistant on your PC. It should automatically download and install the latest updates and drivers for your PC.
Refer this link to know how to use HP support assistant.
Apparently the spyware trial that was preinstalled on the computer was causing the problem. All fixed now.
