HP Pavilion dv6244us Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I have an old HP dv6244us PC and I cannot connect to internet via wireless adapter Intel(R)PRO/100VE network connectıon adapter. PC cannot solve the connectıon problem and says adapter is installed but eternet cable is broken . No connectıon . How can I check the wireless adapter hardware (devıce ) ?

That is the ethernet adapter you see.

 

The parts list for your notebook indicates that it has a Broadcom Wi-Fi adapter.

 

HP PartSurfer

 

install the latest W7 Wi-Fi driver HP has for that model Wi-Fi card:

 

Broadcom Wireless LAN Driver for Microsoft Windows 7

If that still doesn't get the Wi-Fi to work, download and install this software, restart the notebook and use the software controls to turn on the Wi-Fi.

 

This package contains the HP Wireless Assistant for the supported notebook models and operating systems. The HP Wireless Assistant reports the power state and Microsoft Windows Device Manager status of integrated wireless devices, alerts the user when the status of a device changes, and enables the user to turn integrated wireless devices on and off.
