So in refer to this aericle i have the exact same problem https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Notebooks-Archive-Read-Only/Wifi-adapter-disappeared/m-p/6306028#M3144... i downloaded the diagnositic tool installed it and shur down my pc and pressed esc but there isnt in option that says components test. Only 4 options and components test isnt one of them . I havent had WiFi in my lqptop for over a year. The wifi adaptor disappeared and never came back and whenever i click on troubleshoot it says connect to ethernet cable. Please help me if you have any idea to fix this etnernal problem thank u.

PLEASE POST ANY RESULTS.
First:- Turn off the computer, press and hold the PWR button for 4 seconds.

Then - Leave only keyboard and mouse connected, disconnect all externally connected
devices such as Docking Station, USB storage devices, displays, and printers.
Unplug the AC adapter from the computer.

Next - Press and Hold the Power button for 15 seconds to Hard Reset.
Rinse and Repeat; Re-Connect the AC adapter.

NOW begin checking/testing/proving the Hardware is fit for purpose.
Power on your PC, press ESC (repeatedly), then F2 at the prompt.
Choose System Tests (Fast Test does a 4 minute hardware check).

That takes us 2 steps forward.

Copy, Paste and Save in Notepad, as LBB.bat (not a .TXT) and double click to run.
Preferably run as an Administrator.

Hi i did the win + R thing and system SKU IS LX309EA#ABV 

The rest of ur answer is way to complicated for me to understand could you please simplify what to so after i downloaded the hp diagnostix tool? When i click f2 on screen there isnt a compoment test only startup test and run in test and hard disk test.
