Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

I hve changed ISP's and my laptop will not recognize the new provider.  My ipad and android phone are both connected to the internet

What is your machine ? Most likely it only has wifi adapter which supports 2.4GHz only . Please allow new router to broadcast DUAL bands, your machine now can "see" 2.4GHz and allows you to connect. Forexample

 

      both bands.png

 

My router broadcast 2 bands my machine can see BOTH, but your machine can only see the 2.4GHz nwteork
