I finally got my laptop and it has a red x over the internet button. I've tried restarting it, going to the Bios, completely restarting the computer to factory settings, even the command code to reset the connection. But it doesn't even show that i have the possibility to connect to wifi. it only shows that i have the possibility to connect to Ethernet.

Please do not post Serial Numbers.

 

As it was shipped it may have had the odd impact and the WiFi board, if fitted, has been dislodged.

BIOS and F1 will help fill in a lot of the gaps in the post  you made.
