I need to upgrade my laptop's network adaptor to receive 5G wifi.

HP Recommended
HP 15s db1061au
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

the network adaptor of my new HP 15s db1061au notebook is unable to detect 5Ghz wireless connection. suggest ways to upgrade it.

Hi:

 

Since your notebook only has one antenna wire connected to the Realtek wifi card in there now, there is only one dual band wifi card you can upgrade to.

 

Realtek RTL8821CE 802.11 ac 1x1 WiFi + Bluetooth 4.2 Combo Adapter (MU-MIMO supported) HP part # L17365-005.

 

You can find this model on eBay, or Ali Express.

The card has the same throughput as the RTL8723DE card on the 2.4 GHz wifi band, but on the 5.0 GHz wifi band with an AC router, it has a maximum throughput of 433 MBPS.
