I have part number 709848-001 a Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11 bg/n 1x1 WiFi adapter. Want to upgrade  to accept 5g and add Bluetooth

Hi:

 

Unfortunately, that will not be possible for your notebook, since it only has one wifi antenna.

 

You can upgrade to this single band wifi card with bluetooth though.

 

It was designed to work with one antenna wire...

 

Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11bgn 1×1 + BT 4 LE Combo Adapter     HP part number 753077-001.

 

You should be able to find the card on eBay.  Search by the HP part number, not the model of the wifi adapter.

 

Or you can upgrade to this dual band wifi card with bluetooth, attach the single antenna to the wifi card's main antenna terminal, but you won't have bluetooth...
