I want to use sim card but Cellular option missing hence can't use sim card

Hi:

 

Below is the link to the service manual for your notebook.

 

HP EliteBook 840 G5 Notebook PCHP EliteBook 846 G5 Notebook PC Maintenance and Service Guide

 

Chapter 3 has the supported WWAN cards with their HP part numbers.

 

LTE CAT4: Huawei HP lt4132, LTE/HSPA+ w/GPS        845710-003
LTE CAT9: Fibocom Intel XMM 7360 LTE-Advanced    L15398-001

 

Check to make sure your notebook has the antenna wires to connect to the WWAN card and you can buy one of the WWAN cards that are supported so you can connect to a cellular network.

 

You can only buy one of the WWAN cards listed in the manual and they must have the HP part number on them, or they will not work.

 

Chapter 5 has the WWAN card removal and replacement procedure.
