Did you buy WWAN option for your HP EliteBook 850 G3 machine ? Without WWAN option the SIM card is USELESS. Please check Device Manager, it must have 1 of the following entries
- HP lt4120 Qualcomm® Snapdragon X5 LTE Mobile Broadband Module
- HP hs3110 HSPA+ Intel® Mobile Broadband Module
