@SARANGALGROUP, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

It sounds like you're experiencing an issue where your USB to Ethernet connector shows a connection, but the internet isn’t working, while USB tethering and Wi-Fi work fine. Let's troubleshoot this:

Check Ethernet Cable: Ensure the Ethernet cable you're using is properly connected and not damaged. Try using a different cable to rule out any issues with the connection.

Restart Your Router: Sometimes, a simple restart of the router can resolve connectivity issues, especially if it's not providing internet to your laptop despite the Ethernet connection showing as "connected."

Network Troubleshooter:

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Status.

Click on Network Troubleshooter and follow the prompts. This can automatically detect and fix many common network problems.

Reinstall Ethernet Adapter:

Go to Device Manager > Network Adapters.

Right-click on your USB to Ethernet adapter and select Uninstall device.

Restart your laptop. Windows will automatically reinstall the driver for the adapter when it restarts.

Check IP Configuration:

Go to Settings > Network & Internet > Ethernet.

Make sure that your IP settings are set to "Obtain an IP address automatically" and "Obtain DNS server address automatically."

Update Network Drivers:

Visit the Device Manager, right-click on your Ethernet adapter, and select Update driver.

Alternatively, go to the HP support page for your model, download, and install the latest network drivers.

Disable and re-enable the adapter:

Go to Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change adapter settings.

Right-click on your Ethernet connection and select Disable, wait a few seconds, and then select Enable.
