HP Pavillion x360m Convertible 14m-dh1003dx
Microsoft Windows 11

Hello,

I am considering upgrading the Wi-Fi card on my HP Pavillion x360m Convertible 14m-dh1003dx to an Intel® Wi-Fi 6E AX211. However, I am uncertain about the compatibility due to potential BIOS whitelist issues and other hardware constraints.

Has anyone successfully upgraded to this Wi-Fi card or a similar Wi-Fi 6E card on the HP Pavillion x360m Convertible 14m-dh1003dx? Could you please share your experience, including any necessary steps or precautions taken?

Additionally, if there are official HP part numbers for Wi-Fi 6E cards compatible with this model, that information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your assistance and insights!

Hi:

The product specs for your notebook indicate that it comes with a Realtek RTL8821CE Wi-Fi adapter.

That means your notebook only has one antenna wire and a dual band AX Wi-Fi adapter will require two antenna wires in order to work properly.

Also, the Intel AX211 will only work if your notebook originally came with one from the factory as it is a CNVI card.

None of the cards at the link below would work in your notebook:

What Are the Intel® Integrated Connectivity (CNVi) and Companion...

The only Wi-Fi 6E card that has any chance of working in your notebook (provided you order the dual antenna kit listed in chapter 3 of the service manual, completely disassemble the notebook including the display bezel to add the second antenna wire), is this one:

Intel AX210 Wi-Fi 6E 2x2 AX + Bluetooth 5.2 M.2 2230 non-vPro   HP part # M27269-005.

Below is the link to your notebook's user guides page where you can find the maintenance and service guide.
