Ho elite book folio 1040 G2
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Is it possible to add a wwan module after buying a 1040 G2?

On Quickspecs about WWAN module it desclaires: WWAN modules are only available if preconfigured

But there's no model available in my country with wwan installed.

I'm about to buy a 1040 G2  model and I need wwan. Please advise

@Habibumer

WWAN is a sticky option on many machines. If you wish to try at your own rsik please only use

  • HP lt4111 LTE/EV-DO/HSPA+ Mobile Broadband Module
  • HP lt4112 LTE/HSPA+ Gobi 4G Module
  • HP hs3110 HSPA+ Mobile Broadband Module

And please note:  Two world-wide/5-band WWAN antennas built into display assembly only configured on WWAN models that means you also need to install 2 antennas to your machine.

Given this is a risky business. Please talk with your phone providers, they always have options for you such as USB adapters or even your phone. I used BOTH USB adapter and phone and BOTH were in my pocket/bag pack (I am a retiree now).

Regards.

Thanks a lot for your support.

That's look like a risky thing.
