I am having a similar problem trying to get a network card installed on my probook 650 g1 laptop running server2008 r2.  I am setting this up for a project and have installed lots of drivers to get the NIC up.  I have tried windows 10, 8 and the two you suggested in your previous post.

 

I am baffled as to why HP does not have a compatible driver....thanks,
