Hello!
My new Pavilion (product number 2F2DOEA#ABD) doesn't seem to have Ethernet at all, making it impossible to connect to the Internet via LAN. There is no Ethernet menu item in the Networks menu. When I looked at the drivers on the HP site I didn't find any Ethernet ones for this model. I tried to use HP Elite Thunderbolt docking station with it but maybe it's incompatible? Or does Pavilion have no Ethernet capability at all?
Thanks in advance!

2F2D0EA — HP Pavilion x360 Convertible 14-dw1177ng
This model includes the following Ports - No Ethernet port ---
External I/O Ports | 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 10Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4, HP Sleep and Charge); 2 SuperSpeed USB Type-A 5Gbps signaling rate; 1 HDMI 2.0; 1 AC smart pin; 1 headphone/microphone combo |
It's not that unusual in the smaller computers - every single port / connection requires space.
The ports and sometimes the keyboard pay the price for the tiny, lightweight size of the hardware.

I purchased a little C-port to Ethernet adapter for a Probook that came without Ethernet.
Works.

Hi Dragon-Fur!
Thank you for your reply! Yes, the notebook has no external Ethernet port but I thought it would still be possible to use LAN via the docking station (via USB-C). My older HP Elite has no external port either but it's got the menu item "Ethernet" in "Networks" and I can connect to LAN via Elite Thunderbolt 3.
Cheers
