I am not sure what happened but I had and an old WiFi that was working perfectly fine with my laptop. But then one day it stopped working I look at my wifi and it says action needed. I did what it said but nothing happened.I had to get a new  WiFi router and everything. I scanned my laptop to see if there was any viruses and it’s said there was nothing. Do I dare connect my new WiFi to it will it mess this one up to ?

It isn't really clear as to whether your concern is with your new router or your laptop. They are separate devices.

You can connect to the new router.

As long as you exercise reasonable caution in using the internet while browsing and using email there should be not issue at all.

Use of an internet protection suite, such as ESET internet security, is highly recommended.

It is with my laptop I think I may have had a virus. I want to know if I can connect my lap to my WiFi without it making my WiFi not work

Is there a reason that you have not identified your laptop with a product name or product number (also called a SKU)?

Which antivirus do you have installed?

If it is updated with the latest virus/adware/malware database that its makers have and you got an all-clear or no virus found when you run it, there should not be a problem.
