Pavillion Gaming 17
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a new Pavillion Gaming 17 laptop that was ordered with the Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX 200 (2x2) wireless card.

It will connect to my new wireless router on the 5 ghz bands just fine, but will not connect to any network with the 2.4 ghz bands.  I am fairly computer savvy and have tried every single fix i can find on the web - updating, removing, reinstalling drivers, rolling back drivers, disabling ac bands etc..  This is extremely frustrating since i cannot connect to wifi when i travel, or the wireless hot spot on my phone.

I just get the message "can't connect to this network"

Is this a common problem with a solution, or do i potentially have a hardware issue?

Update: out of frustration, i checked the antennae wires on the wireless card again, and one of them was not connected properly,  All bands now connect.

So much time and frustration over a tiny wire connection.

Thanks

BQ
