Product: HP Notebook 15-dy1023dx

My computer has not been used in several months. Well, at first it wouldn't come on but then today it came on but it's not connecting to the wifi it is saying it's off but my wifi is clearly on. What can I do to bypass this. I really don't want to buy a new laptop
