Product: HP Laptop PC 15s-fq2000

I couldn't have been happier with my 15-cw1007na - worked perfectly out of the box, but time for a replacement, in the end decided on the hp 15s-fq2037na.  Was totally happy with it until I did my first video meeting and the other person kept freezing on my screen.  Every 20 second, freeze, back to normal, freeze again.  Tried my old laptop - perfect.  Went back to the new laptop - same issue.  So it's not my connection, all speed tests rate it very fast.  My old 15-cw1007na works fine on my Wifi connection, for some reason the new laptop just freezes using Whereby for video meetings.  I can't use it like this. I can't use wired as it doesn't have an ethernet port and my adapter is miles away.

This is out of the box.  Nothing installed except all windows updates.  Went to HP assistant there's a LAN driver update but whenever I try to install it, the installation fails.  The machine's own support assistant can't install the update it's suggesting.

Thought I'd ask here before I return it as I'm not paying £450 for a laptop that doesn't work out of the box on the thing I need it most for.  I bought HP as the 15-cw1007na was so perfect for all my needs.  Looks like the HP quality has gone down!  Any ideas or I'm going to use the retailers generous return policy for faulty items.
