I can't figure out f my laptop Hp250g2 is 5Ghz (WiFi) compatible or not. I question this because I wonder why my laptop can't find my 5Ghz network.

It is one of the following wifi adapters

  • Atheros AR9485 802.11b/g/n 1x1 WiFi adapter
  • Ralink RT3290LE 802.11b/g/n 1x1 WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 combination adapter
  • Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11bg/n 1x1 WiFi adapter
  • Atheros AR9565 802.11bgn 1x1 WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 combination WLAN adapter

All of them do not support 5.0GHz networks. It was built late 2013 early 2014 therefore changing internal wifi adapter is very hard to impossible. You can use USB adapter such as
