I'm getting similar issues with my new HP Envy X360, except that it seems to lose the wireless adapter altogether.  It works fine as long as I'm connected and using the laptop.  If I then close it and go away for a while, it'll drop the wireless connection, which is expected - but it also loses the wireless adapter, which isn't expected!  I mean that when I click the network icon in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, there are no wireless networks shown, the only option given is to turn flight mode on or off.  The network troubleshooter can't see the wireless adapter either, it only troubleshoots the ethernet adapter and deduces (correctly) that there isn't an Ethernet cable attached.  Rebooting does fix the problem; everything becomes visible again and I'm able to reconnect, but I shouldn't have to reboot my laptop every time I come back to it!
Read the previous answers and deduced that the problem might be to do with the power-saving, but I've been into Device Manager and it's not showing me power management options, so I haven't been able to change that.
