Laptop won't connect to home wifi

Hi,

My laptop is unable to discover the home wifi.

 It will connect to any public wifi, other homes, and it can see other wifis in the options so it is able to see and connect to neighbours and hotspots. My phone is able to connect to the home wifi and the other owners of devices laptops etc have had no issues. It is only my laptop with the issue, it cannot even discover the wifi at all and the wifi has been reset multiple times. It can connect with an ethernet cable but i need it to connect without that.

You dont mention what your home WiFi is, or what your adapter is.  So we go the long way around...

If so it is a 2.4 GHz only and will not connect to 5.0 Ghz WiFI.

Copy, Paste and Save in Notepad, as LBB2Z.bat and double click to run.
Post anything non-personal, but relevant please.

Hi

I think the problem is with the Adapter AND the Router.

Make, Model and OS please.
SKU: if possible by this method
WinKey + R and type
msinfo32
Read Line 9
System SKU: N6K07EA#ABU

Because the RT3290 does not seem to match the Manual for the type of adapter fitted.

On your Home WiFi what are the names/typres of WiFi
