Example: Pavilion Model 14
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The Wi-Fi crashes every 30 seconds, that is no exaggeration. The longest it will last before it says "ummm, you're not connected to the Internet" is about 2 mins and it's driving me mad considering I have a 8,000 word essay to write!!!

I have had this issue for a while now but I neve realised it was my laptop until I used my friends.

There is NO issue with my Wi-Fi as on my TV, my friends laptops, our phones etc nothing has a problem, but my laptop always has! It happened in my old house too.

Any suggestions?

@Tay3,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the wireless connection on your computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I recommend you download and install the wireless driver from the below link and check if it helps.

If you continue facing the issue, then follow the below steps.

Reset the TCP/IP settings on your PC:

1. Go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.

2. Right click on the command prompt icon and chose Run as administrator.

3. In the window that opens type "netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt" without quotes, and press enter.

4. Restart your PC and test.

It may also help to reset the winsock catalogue:

1. Go to your start screen/menu and type CMD.

2. Right click on the command prompt icon and chose Run as administrator.

3. In the window that opens type "netsh winsock reset" without quotes, and press enter.

4. Restart your PC and test.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accept as Solution. Your feedback counts!

Cheers!
