my laptop hp EliteBook 840 g1 is not showing Bluetooth please help if someone knows the solution.

I have tried installing the proper drivers then also it is not working

Hi:

If you recently upgraded the notebook from W7 to W10, most likely the Bluetooth was turned off during the W10 upgrade.

If there is no Bluetooth device manager category, the easiest way to restore the Bluetooth would be to make a bootable ubuntu installer from the link below.

https://ubuntu.com/download

Boot from the Ubuntu installer and select the option to try Ubuntu without installing option.

Then turn on the Bluetooth radio in Ubuntu.

You can then shut down the PC, remove the Ubuntu installer, turn on the PC and when you are back into Windows, the Bluetooth device should be present again.
