I’m trying to connect to the WiFi in our rental house.  The only WiFi network that appears on my notebook is Netgear82... but my iPhone & iPad are connecting to Netgear82-5g.  The notebook says it cannot connect to the WiFi that appears (Netgear82).  Is there any way I can fix this?

@Bonnie26

Your machine only has 1x1 802.11b/g/n WLAN adapter therefore it should be able to connect to Netgear82 which is a 2.4GHz network with same password as Netgear82-5G network.

Please try again using SAME password / Passphrase of the same 5G network.

Regards.

My apologies... I don’t believe I was as concise as I could have been with my query...

My confusion is that the option to join the 5G wifi, isn’t even listed on available networks.

So I guess I’m asking if my notebook has the capability of even connecting to a 5G wifi?

I thank you for your quick response to my first posted question.  🙂
