Hi @Fernie1son,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your HP computer is currently stuck or frozen, and you're also unable to connect to your Wi-Fi, which can be incredibly frustrating, especially when you need to get things done.

Let’s take this step by step to get you back up and running:

Step 1: Force Restart the Computer

If your HP computer is paused or unresponsive:

  1. Press and hold the power button for about 10–15 seconds until the device completely shuts down.
  2. Wait a few seconds, then press the power button again to turn it back on.

Let me know if the screen still freezes or if it boots normally.

Step 2: Fix Wi-Fi Connection

If you can’t connect to Wi-Fi after restarting:

  1. Check if Wi-Fi is turned on:
    • Press Fn + F12 (or just F12, depending on your model). This toggles Wi-Fi on/off.
    • Look for a Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar. If it’s missing, continue below.

  2. Run HP Network Check:
    • Open the HP Support Assistant (search for it in the Start menu).
    • Go to “Network and Internet Troubleshooting”.
    • Run the Network Check tool to diagnose and fix issues.

  3. Reinstall Wi-Fi Driver:
  • Press Windows + X → choose Device Manager.
  • Expand Network adapters.
  • Right-click your Wi-Fi adapter (e.g., Realtek, Intel) → select Uninstall device.
  • Restart your PC Windows will reinstall the driver automatically.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
