HP Recommended
Product: HP 17.3 inch Laptop PC 17-c1000 (4B770AV)

I have a 17-c1000 series laptop and a USB-C to Rj45 adapter.  I need the speed and supposed reliability of a wired internet connection.  However, my ethernet connection keeps dropping ... disconnecting ... going to sleep ... whatever.  I have to reset the adapter to get it working again.

 

Before all the BS suggestions start, my laptop is fully updated through HP, Microsoft, and Intel.  So, that mindless nonsense is probably not the problem.  I'm guessing it's a power setting I haven't found yet.  I've turned every power setting on this computer to "never sleep" that I can find.

 

Any suggestions?
