Hi, I'm trying to connect my laptop to the internet through my mobile phone's hotspot but my laptop does not detect the hotspot but can see other Wi-Fi around.

Hi,

Are you sure you have created the hotspot on the 2.4GHz band as it is the one the notebook will be able to see?

If you created the hotspot on the 5GHz band the notebook will not see it.

So look in the settings of the phone and see.

Are other phones able to see the hotspot you created?

Let me know,

David

Hi David,

Thanks a lot for your prompt reply and suggestion. My phone's hotspot was created on the 2.4GHz band. Additionally, other phones are able to see the hotspot I created. Only my laptop can't see this particular phone's hotspot, but I sees the hotspot of other phones.

Could the problem be with the phone?
