Hi @jesse115,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for sharing the issue with your HP Chromebook 11a-na0000 (9TZ30AV). I understand how frustrating it is to be disconnected from Wi-Fi randomly throughout the day and needing to restart just to reconnect. You're not alone. This is a known issue affecting many Chromebook users, and I’m here to help you fix it.

Recommended Steps to Fix Wi-Fi Disconnection on Chromebook

1. Forget and Reconnect to Your Wi-Fi Network

This clears any corrupted network settings.

  • Go to Settings > Network > Wi-Fi
  • Click your current network and select Forget
  • Wait 10 seconds, then reconnect by entering your Wi-Fi password.

2. Update ChromeOS

Outdated system software can cause network instability.

  • Go to Settings > About ChromeOS
  • Click Check for updates
  • Install any available updates and restart your Chromebook.

3. Disable Bluetooth

Bluetooth can interfere with Wi-Fi, especially on the 2.4GHz band.

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth
  • Toggle Bluetooth off and test your connection.

4. Switch Wi-Fi Frequency Band

If your router supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz:

  • Connect to the 5GHz band for better stability
  • Go to Settings > Network > Wi-Fi > Advanced to check the frequency.

5. Set a Static IP Address

Dynamic IP conflicts can cause disconnections.

  • Go to Settings > Network > Wi-Fi
  • Click your network > Network settings
  • Turn off Configure IP address automatically
  • Use your current IP as static or set it manually

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
