Pavilion 15AC128DS
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am using a HP Pavilion 15AC128DS notebook. I recently changed my operating system to Windows 10. I also updated all my device drivers. But the bluetooth is not working properly. If we connect a device through bluetooth we have to keep the device very close to the system for the device to work. For eg: If I connect a bluetooth speaker with my system I should keep it very near to the system for it to work properly.

Also the Wi-Fi has some problems. When we connect it to the internet it works perfectly for maximum 5mins and after that the internet connectivity is not even though the Wi-Fi network is connected to the system.

I even updated my BIOS today hoping to fix the issue

What should I do now?

@abhijith_arv Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that you are facing issues with Bluetooth connectivity and Wifi disconnects,

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

Let's start with the Hard Reset: (To release any excessive static causing the issue).

This method works for a variety of Driver connection and ‘stuck’ program issues.

  • Shut down the computer

  • Disconnect all external devices - everything.

  • Remove AC power and the battery

  • Press and hold power button for at least 30 seconds

  • Reconnect the AC power (only),

  • Power on > Login

  • Next time you shut down the system, reinstall the battery and follow the below steps.

For the Wifi issue, please perform the below steps.

To begin troubleshooting the issue, please try the steps in this HP document: Troubleshooting Your Wireless Network and Internet Connection (Windows 7)

These steps should be enough to resolve the issue. It covers all of the basics, which are capable of resolving the issue if the cause is something simple.

If that doesn't help, you can try a manual reinstall of the wireless adapter driver. Since the adapter is having an issue, this will determine whether or not it is a driver conflict, or something else:

1. Go into Device Manager, then Network adapters.

2. Right-click on the wireless driver, and select "Uninstall".

3. Restart the computer. This will force the driver to reinstall itself.

If it still doesn't help, it is either a hardware or software-related issue. To determine this, I would like you to reinstall the operating system. It will clear up any software conflicts and allow you to start fresh.

First, please ensure you backup your files. Here is information on how to do this:

Backing Up Your Files (Windows 7)

Once this is done, it is safe to reinstall the operating system:

Performing an HP System Recovery (Windows 7, 8 & 10)
