Hi @2Kalpna

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

Code 43 on your HP ENVY x360 15-ed1xxx Wi-Fi adapter typically indicates a driver or hardware communication fault.

Since the adapter disappears intermittently, let’s walk through a focused recovery path to stabilize it.

Step-by-step actions to fix disappearing Wi-Fi adapter with Code 43

1. Uninstall and reinstall the wireless driver completely

  1. Press Win + X > Device Manager.
  2. Expand Network adapters.
  3. Right-click your Wi-Fi adapter (e.g., Realtek or Intel) > Uninstall device.
  4. Check Delete the driver software for this device if available.
  5. Restart your laptop.

Windows will attempt to reinstall a generic driver. If the issue persists, proceed to the next step.

2. Install the latest driver from HP

  • Visit: HP ENVY x360 15-ed1xxx Drivers & Software
  • Download and install:
    • Realtek RTL8852AE or Intel Wi-Fi 6 AX201 Driver (based on your adapter)
    • Intel Chipset Driver
  • Restart your laptop after installation.

This ensures proper power and bus communication between the adapter and system board.

3. Disable power-saving for the adapter

  1. Press Win + X > Device Manager.
  2. Expand Network adapters.
  3. Right-click your Wi-Fi adapter > Properties.
  4. Go to Power Management tab.
  5. Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

If this tab is missing, it may be due to driver limitations—installing the full driver package from HP should restore it.

4. Run HP UEFI diagnostics

  1. Power off the laptop.
  2. Power it on and immediately press Esc, then F2.
  3. Select Component Tests > Wireless Module Test.
  4. Run the test and note any error codes.

This checks for hardware-level faults in the wireless card.

5. Use HP’s Diagnose & Fix tool

Let me know how the system responds after these steps. If the adapter still disappears, we can test with a static IP or alternate driver version. You’ve done everything right by staying persistent—I’ll be here to guide you further if needed.
