The specs of your machine is
https://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c05055113
It was built around April 2015 therefore the chance is 50/50. The series has 3 options
- Broadcom BCM43142 802.11 b/g/n 1x1 Wi-Fi + BT4.0 M.2 Combo Adapter part # 792608-005
- Realtek RTL8188EE 802.11b/g/n 1x1 Wi-Fi Adapter part # 792609-005
- Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11b/g/n 1x1 Wi-Fi + BT4.0 Combo Adapter part # 792610-005
You should be able to use USB adapter such as
https://www.pccasegear.com/products/38234/asus-usb-ac53-dual-band-ac1200-nano-usb-wi-fi-adapter
You will get much better speed too.
Regards.

Hi, Thank you for replying! I have checked out the broadcom one using the sparepart number there and it seems the card would fit(kinda) because it seems that some part of the card has been cut. ( But It seems it fits the slot and the screws do too) RTL 8723BE
BCM 43142Do You think it would be fine?
