As per the HP Mobile Printing Solutions Compatibility list available here, HP Officejet 4500 Wireless All-in-One Printer is not compatible with iOS devices. However, if the printer and iPad is connected to to your home WiFi, you could try using HP Smart App. Instructions on how to setup and use HP Smart App can be found here.
