Hey HP community!
I need your help. Ever since I reinstalled Windows 11, my PC is unable to connect to the network, even though it can detect available networks. I've tried everything I know, including updating the drivers, but nothing seems to work. Has anyone else experienced this issue and have any tips to share? I'm open to any suggestions.
Thanks in advance for your valuable help!

Hi @Henock20,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like a frustrating issue! Difficulty connecting to networks after reinstalling Windows 11 could be due to a variety of reasons. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the problem.
- Check Network Settings: Make sure that your network settings are configured correctly. Go to Settings > Network & internet > Status and check if your network adapter is listed and enabled. Also, ensure that Airplane mode is turned off.
- Restart Your Router and Modem: Sometimes, network issues can be resolved by simply restarting your router and modem. Unplug them, wait for a few minutes, and then plug them back in.
- Check Network Adapter Settings: Right-click on the Start button, select Device Manager, and expand the Network adapters section. Right-click on your network adapter and select Properties. Ensure that the option "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is unchecked under the Power Management tab.
- Update Network Drivers: Even though you mentioned you've updated the drivers, it's worth double-checking if there are newer drivers available. Go to the HP website and download the latest network drivers for your specific model.
- Reset Network Settings: Go to Settings > Network & internet > Status > Network reset. This will reset all network adapters and set networking components back to their default settings.
- Check for Windows Updates: Make sure that your Windows 11 installation is up to date. Sometimes, Microsoft releases updates that include fixes for network-related issues.
- Run Network Troubleshooter: Go to Settings > System > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters. Run the Network Adapter troubleshooter and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Check Firewall and Antivirus Settings: Your firewall or antivirus software might be blocking network connections. Temporarily disable them to see if it resolves the issue.
- Try Different Wi-Fi Networks: If possible, try connecting to different Wi-Fi networks to see if the issue is specific to one network or affects all networks.
- Check Hardware: If none of the above steps work, there might be a hardware issue with your network adapter.
Hopefully, one of these steps helps you resolve the issue!
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
