Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We are starting to use Microsoft Intune to manage our new HP laptops.  We are having problems controlling the power state of the network devices.  Currently the device goes to sleep in 10 minutes and this is disabling updates from Microsoft Intune.  In a large domain environment what is the best way to control the power state for domain joined HP laptops?  Is it better to use Microsoft Intune policies or on-prem domain GPOs?  Should we enable wake onlan to facilitate connectivity?  Thank you for your advice.
